Reaching those bound by pornography and sexual sin.

Reaching those bound by pornography and sexual sin.

Your Porn Struggle is a Symptom of Something Deeper

Pornography is not your problem. You turning to porn and sexual sin is only a symptom of a deeper issue. Your outward actions are a a sign of an inner struggle. Changing outward behavior is only a temporary fix that deals with the symptom rather than the internal disease. Sin.

We all have a sickness in our soul—a painful brokenness that drives us to seek relief. We will continue to seek temporary relief until we get to the root cause of the illness.

Porn in the Church

Porn in the Church

77% of the men and 24% of women confessed to watching pornography regularly.

Pornography is just one level of sin, a form of visual sex, or heart adultery. Physical adultery includes an affair, multiple affairs, prostitution, and homosexuality. Other sexual behaviors within the ministry are such heinous “unfruitful works of darkness . . . it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret” (Eph. 5:11–12).

If the heart is deceitful, it impacts the way we want to see the secret things in our lives, particularly secret sexual sins. The missionary can justify going to nude beaches; a pastor sees the value of an affair because it makes him happy; going to a prostitute on Monday is just a reward for hard work on Sunday.

Porn on the Brain

Porn on the Brain

Dopamine plays a major role in the brain system that is responsible for reward-driven learning. Every type of reward that has been studied increases the level of dopamine transmission in the brain, and a variety of addictive drugs, including stimulants such as cocaine, amphetamine, and methamphetamine, act directly on the dopamine system. Dopamine surges when a person is exposed to novel stimuli, particularly if it is sexual, or when a stimuli is more arousing than anticipated. Because erotic imagery triggers more dopamine than sex with a familiar partner, exposure to pornography leads to “arousal addiction” and teaches the brain to prefer the image and become less satisfied with real-life sexual partners.

What We Do

What We Do

EXPOSE

We believe that our journey to freedom and the foundation of this ministry starts by first choosing to expose ourselves. Sin thrives in secrecy and darkness. Our mission is to live a life of integrity that both honors and glorifies our Lord and Savior. We admit we are powerless over our addiction, brokenness and sinful patterns.

ENCOURAGE

We believe that authentic community is a gracious gift of God meant for daily encouragement and spiritual health. Our desire that our communities are open, honest environments where people can share struggles, find healing and encouragement, and strengthen one another as we follow God's path together.

EQUIP

We believe in challenging our community to live a God-honoring life by utilizing the provided accountability, resources, ministry partnerships and biblical counsel that will equip them to find victory from pornography and sexual sin, so we can experience the fullness of life in Christ when we follow him and walk in His ways.
